From Śmigus-dyngus to Birthday Dancing

Od śmingusa dyngusa po urodzinowe tańce – Ursus

Śmigus-dyngus and other April traditions

April began festively with Śmigus-dyngus, which brought a surprise in the form of a slightly delayed birthday cake, shared with my godson. The young one is still too young to share my passions. And I’m already too old to compete with him in video games like FIFA. I manage to beat him sometimes when I sneakily distract him. My hands, used to old-school joysticks, can’t handle gamepads that require the precision of a spider or a snake. Rafcio is more likely to share my love for good liquor than we are to play Fortnite together.

April also saw Marcelek’s christening; he bravely endured the ceremony in a suit, albeit barefoot.

We also partied at the latest anniversary of Iwona’s 18th birthday. The party was great, although I couldn’t switch on my dancing mode that day. You can’t get far without proper “lubrication.”
