September began, of course, with a wedding—Benia and Andrzej’s to start things off. A really great wedding, the second one where my fiancée could let loose and have some alcohol. This made her party even harder, and there was no end to the singing and dancing. By a strange coincidence, Iza caught the veil… by an even stranger one, I caught the cravat—there was no way out, we had to get married this year :P.
Saturday’s shenanigans took such a toll on her unaccustomed body that from Sunday to Wednesday she couldn’t make a sound above a whisper (by the way, every woman should come equipped with a button that triggers this state).
Two weeks later there was another wedding (I’ll count which one later)—Irek and Edyta’s. The wedding took place in a church that we initially considered for our own, but unfortunately, it’s made of wood, and it would have to be made of rubber to fit everyone. The ceremony turned a bit into a concert. Well, we didn’t exactly love the reception. While there was plenty of room to dance, the food was a) not good, and b) cold.
Last weekend we didn’t get any time off either. Maciek’s birthday party was organized specifically so we could attend. What’s more, it took place in the exact same complex as our own, almost fully planned wedding.
And then came September
