It’s probably a good thing this year is ending, because there were so many events that at times you didn’t know if you were watching the news, a political drama, or a comedy sketch. In Poland, we had elections, a wiretap scandal, a change of prime minister, local elections, and problems with counting votes. And for dessert, Donald Tusk left for Brussels to become the President of the European Council. That’s why in the New Year, we wish everyone that the only scandal will be the disappearing pierogi from the Christmas Eve table. We also hope that your computer systems in 2015 work better than the ones during the local elections and that the results are always counted correctly. May all elections—especially the ones regarding who makes coffee and who takes out the trash—end without protests or appeals. And since the Polish national soccer team finally beat Germany 2:0, we wish for each of us to achieve such victories in the New Year. Maybe not necessarily over Germany, but at least over bills, loans, diets, and Monday mornings.
