Since about January, I knew that on May 26th I was going to the hospital, and on the 27th I’d have a surgery that would make my nose completely clear, and straight at the same time :-). At the beginning of April, it turned out I could have the surgery a month earlier. After consulting with Iza (my fiancée since March), I agreed. I consulted her because we had a wedding to attend on May 1st, and it was obvious I wouldn’t be able to go right after the surgery. We canceled our RSVP, I prepared myself mentally, and finally went to the hospital, only to find out on Monday morning that there would be no surgery because the doctor who was supposed to perform it didn’t show up. After a brief deliberation, the team of doctors decided to discharge me and send me home, so they could proceed with the next scheduled surgery. They promised to call me as soon as a spot opened up (otherwise, I still have my turn on May 27th). We called the wedding organizers and it turned out we could still go, so that’s exactly what we did.
