Sopot

Sopot – Sopot

I finally managed to get away to the seaside. The destination was obvious – Sopot. The weather didn’t disappoint. The Baltic Sea, as usual, didn’t exactly spoil us with its temperature, but then again, nobody goes there just to sit in the water. The most important thing was to feel that maritime vibe and bring back some souvenir photos.

My first steps, of course, led me straight to the beach. I had to check if the sand was as soft as it was last year, and if the waves were still making more noise than they were worth. Snapping a few photos on the shore was a mandatory item on the agenda – otherwise, no one would believe I actually went to the sea.

A walk along the Sopot pier was an absolute must. After all, it’s the place every tourist visits. A little strolling, some sightseeing, and of course a few photographs from different angles, just to have options to choose from. In the evening, the beach looked even better. The setting sun made a great backdrop for more photos. Too bad the Baltic wind, as always, had its own plans for my hair.

After all that walking, it was time to relax. The seaside pubs didn’t disappoint – a cold beer tasted exceptionally good after a full day on my feet. And since I was already sitting down, it seemed only right to order something solid to eat. After all, vacations are for not counting calories.

I can chalk this trip up as a big success. The sun came out, the photo collection grew, the pier was checked off the list, the beach too, and my stomach didn’t have a single reason to complain. Now all that’s left is to develop the photos and hope I didn’t have my eyes closed in all of them. After all, digital cameras are only just starting to take over the world, so every successful shot is a small victory.
