Fans from all over Poland (like us from Grodzisk) came to see the grand return of Andrzej Gołota, and instead they saw… a beautiful farewell to a legend. There was no shortage of emotions in the clash with Przemysław Saleta, although rather than fireworks, the boxing resembled a duel between two veterans who had left a lot of themselves in the ring throughout their careers. Ultimately, Saleta won by TKO, and Gołota ended his professional career, closing one of the most important chapters in the history of Polish boxing. That night, the result was important. But even more important was the standing ovation for a fighter who, over the years, provided fans with enough thrills to easily fill several sports biographies.
