Tonight at PGE Narodowy, we’re not counting goals, measuring offsides, or waiting for penalty kicks. Today, only one thing matters: who walks out of the cage under their own power. There are almost 58,000 fans in the stands. This isn’t just a regular crowd—it’s a literal sea of people. When everyone shouted “KSW!” at the same time, seismographs supposedly registered slight tremors. Meanwhile, the pigeons over the National Stadium decided to relocate to the Old Town. The organizers prepared eleven fights, with as many as five for a championship belt. In other words, there were more belts today than at an airport security check.
But before we get to the main event, something happened that many fans had been waiting years for. Łukasz “Juras” Jurkowski returned to the cage! A legend of Polish MMA, the very first KSW tournament winner. This is a guy who remembers the days when galas were held in hotel ballrooms, not the biggest stadium in the country. Juras’s comeback sparked bigger applause than a concert by the biggest music stars. When he appeared on the screens, many fans had tears of emotion in their eyes… or maybe it was just the smoke from the pyrotechnics.
