July 2011

Lipiec 2011 – Grunwald

I’ll remember July 2011 mainly because that’s the month I got my driver’s license and became a driver. It makes things a lot easier after the move to Grodzisk, because suddenly everything is further away.

Also in July, thanks to my wife, I found a market niche for myself… home automation.

Thanks to Iza, because she always had this nagging doubt about whether the iron was turned off, and her innate doomsaying meant that at some point during every trip, we’d all be visualizing a burning house. Usually, Edyta was our smoke tester, driving over to check if it wasn’t too bright.

During our trip to the reenactment at Grunwald, she couldn’t check it because she was riding in the second car. The neighbor’s report saying she couldn’t see any fire or smoke didn’t exactly calm Iza down. Just to be safe, Ania turned off the power in the apartment, so when we got back, it was dark and cold.

I thought to myself then that there must be more people like this, and it’s a solid business idea.

The following weekend, at Adam’s invitation, we went to Lake Zdworskie, where we paddled around a bit on a pedal boat.
